Owen Spur Track is accessible on Tramway Street by turning off Lyell Highway.
Accessible parking spaces will be available close to the Owen Spur Track entrance on Tramway Street. Look for The Unconformity signage to direct you. All patrons not utilising accessible parking spaces must park in surrounding streets.
The Ground event site will be the meeting place for hikers. Journeying down Tramway Street, the event site for Ground will be on the left. The Ground event site is level-access and a mix of gravel and grass terrain.
The hiking group will move down Tramway Street to the Owen Spur Track entrance and embark on the journey upwards together.
The Owen Spur Track is a mix of gravel and shifted land. The terrain moves between flat and rocky inclines, declines and level pathways. As an 11km-walk up steep terrain, this is a physically-demanding experience and is most suitable for those with a good level of fitness. This experience will take at least four hours, depending on your walking pace.
There are no toilets available on Tramway Street or throughout the Owen Spur Track.
The Unconformity acknowledges the palawa people as the original and traditional custodians of lutruwita/Tasmania. We commit to working respectfully to honour their ongoing cultural and spiritual connections to this land.
