Aunty Cheryl is a Pinterairrer woman. Her Grandmother Country is Little Musselroe in Cape Portland in North East lutruwita and Grandfather Nicermenic Country is Robbins Island in the North West. She grew up in Bothwell in the Central Highlands with two sisters and two brothers and has a son and three grandchildren. She is a songwriter and singer, cultural educator, sculptor, and poet. Travelling her ancestral songlines she writes of land life spirit and events in community. Activist in land rights and justice campaigns since the late 1970s. She worked nationally in suicide prevention, and Aboriginal health, wellbeing and mental health policy and programs for over forty years.
