
Andrew Callaghan is a composer, sound designer, researcher and educator. He has scored productions for film, TV, podcasts and albums as well as live events and installations that have been acclaimed nationally and internationally. His work has appeared in a number of highly-successful projects, including the short film 'Jerrycan' (Cannes Jury Prize) and the SBS documentary 'Paper Doll' (Hugo Awards Special Mention).
A keen teacher of music history, technology, arranging and screen music, Andrew recently completed a PhD on film music at the University of Melbourne where he currently lectures. His recent sound work explores ways that interactive technologies can break down the audience/performer divide, helping non-experts participate in music-making.
