The Paragon Theatre is an Art Deco-style building at 11 McNamara Street, Queenstown.
Parking
On-street parking is available in surrounding streets.
A paid West Coast Council carpark is available on Driffield Street, at the bottom of Orr Street. Access to this carpark is gained by turning off Driffield Street into a side street opposite the Queenstown Library.
It is a 170-metre journey from this carpark to The Paragon Theatre.
There are two accessible parking spaces in this car park. They are positioned closest to the West Coast Wilderness Railway building.
There is a cost of $1 per hour to a maximum of $10 in this carpark. Payments can be made with cash or card using the parking meter available, or by using the EasyPark App and entering the parking area number '50001'.
Level access to The Paragon Theatre is gained through a double-doorway on Little Orr Street (a street directly to the left when facing The Paragon Theatre). Please check in with The Unconformity Front of House staff at the entrance on McNamara Street if you require use of the level-access entrance.
Another entrance is available at the front of The Paragon Theatre on McNamara Street. This entrance features one step directly from the street up onto the entrance landing.
Once inside the front entrance, five more steps are featured that lead up to the event space. A hand railing is available on the left side of the steps when ascending. Through the doorway directly ahead of the top of the stairs is the event space.
The Paragon Theatre is an Art Deco-style space with high ceilings, marble flooring and a grand stage at the end of the room. This stage is where the music acts will perform in this venue.
When entering from the McNamara Street entrance, a bar will be open on the left as you enter the performance space. This bar will be on the right when entering from the level-access entry on Little Orr Street. This bar will serve alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages.
The Paragon Theatre events will not have seating set for any shows. You may request a seat from Front of House staff on site or get in contact with The Unconformity by email at access@theunconformity.com.au or phone on 03 6471 1026.
Toilets
One accessible bathroom and four de-gendered portable toilets are available outside The Paragon Theatre. These bathrooms are accessible through the Little Orr Street level-access entrance/exit. Please approach Front of House staff members positioned at this exit for access to the accessible facility.
The accessible bathroom is located out the level-access entrance and to the right on Little Orr Street. The de-gendered portable toilets will be apparent upon exiting The Paragon Theatre side entrance/exit.
The accessible bathroom features hand railings on the closest walls to the toilet and sink. There is also a waste bin and handwash available in the space.
Gendered bathrooms are also available inside The Paragon Theatre. From the first set of five stairs at the venue entrance, turn either right or left to find additional staircases leading to these bathrooms.
There are 17 steps that lead up to the bathrooms. There is a handrail provided.
