The Old Evans Store is a heritage building that once operated as Queenstown's general store. The building is located on a sloped corner with an old concrete sidewalk leading up to the entrance which is mostly smooth but not level.
Safe drop-off is available along Little Sticht Street, or in front of the adjacent Galley Museum.
A paid West Coast Council Carpark is available on Driffeild Street, at the bottom of Orr Street. Access to this carpark is gained by turning off Driffield Street into a side street opposite the Queenstown Library.
It is a 200 metre journey from this carpark, across the road to Old Evans Store.
There are two accessible parking spaces in this car park. They are positioned closest to the West Coast Wilderness Railway building.
There is a cost of $1.00 per hour to a maximum of $10.00 in this carpark. Payments can be made with cash or card, using the parking metre available, or by using the Easy Park App and entering the parking area number '50001.'
There are two main entrances, an upper entrance which is set back into the building and the lower entrance which is used for this event. This entrance has a slight lip into the building and an opening width of 850mm.
Inside you will find timber floorboards fill the main space, and then three steps take you up to a smaller space with concrete flooring.
There are no toilets available for use at this venue.
